As our next chapter turns to the city of San Jose, we look back to the stories of our roots and the communal values that make us. This year, we are excited to announce our theme for the UNAVSA-21 Conference as, โ๐จ๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ปโ. ๐
Our Vietnamese tagline โNhแปฏng Dรฒng Chฦฐa Kแปโ reflects on every step, every motion, you mark the beginnings of YOUR unique story. โ๏ธ It is this very moment, where each of us are a part of a growing community born from the stories of our families, ancestors and predecessors.
Through the stories we tell and create together, what legacy will you leave behind? What chapters will you begin in our community? From ๐๐๐น๐ ๐ต๐๐ต ๐๐ผ ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ต ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ, this new chapter starts with yoUNAVSA.
You are eligible to register as a conference alumni if you meet the definition of an UNAVSA alumni:
UNAVSA Alumni are any former officially recognized members of any office of the organization who have participated as:
- Cabinet Staff Member
- Conference Staff member*
- Cabinet Director
- Conference Director
- CORR member
- Executive Board member

UNAVSA Alumni are not defined by age, gender, ethnicity, educational background, or anything else.
What is a Friend of UNAVSA?
A Friend of UNAVSA is anyone who has fulfilled a term on internal staff with a partner region or UNAVSA, examples below:
- Regional Executive Boards
- Regional Conference Executives Directors
- Past Regional Cabinet/Conference Staff
Although these are the guidelines, on a case-by-case basis, some exceptions may be flexible to some degree.
Friends of UNAVSA registrations will require approval from the Conference Executive team upon submission. Once approved, tickets will be issued via email.

ย ๐งพ Waitlist Process
- Once Alumni registrations sell out, a waitlist will be opened for those hoping to secure a spot at UNAVSA-21. If someone cancels their registration, their spot goes to the next person on the waitlist.ย
- The process is first-come, first served.
- No transfers are allowed.
๐ก Additional Notes
- The portal will automatically log you out after 60 minutes, so timely completion is crucial. Once you successfully complete your registration, you will receive a confirmation email verifying your registration.
- Do not exit out or reload the portal while you are completing your registration.
- Please note that hotel and flight costs are not included in your registration fee.
