VASA UCF Tết Trung Thu 2019 – “Appreciating the Present”
At the University of Central Florida, VASA hosts an annual event to celebrate Tết Trung Thu (Mid-Autumn Moon Festival). This event commemorates a successful harvest at the end of the year, which brings unity and prosperity to our families, friends and loved ones.
This video was showcased at our event to highlight our theme: Pearls of the Present. The year before, our Tết Trung Thu event focused on looking into the past, and reconnecting with our parents/guardians about our roots and our culture. For 2019, we wanted to relish the present time – a time that many of us take for granted.
We allowed some of our officers and members to talk about what they currently appreciate most about their loved ones, and give them a chance to contact them and share this sentiment.
