Hailing from Grand Prairie, Texas, Thao Tran is currently in her third year at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) pursuing a B.B.A. in Marketing and a B.B.A. Management with a minor in Leadership Studies. She has been heavily involved with UTA VSA since her first year and currently serves as the External Vice President and Intercollegiate Council (ICC) Representative as well as Marketing Director for UVSA South’s 7th Annual Leadership Summit. Additionally, some of her past VSA experience includes UVSA South’s General Staff, Sponsorship Committee for their 6th Annual Leadership Summit, Camp Legacy 4 Marketing & Media/IT Captain, UVSA GC’s Summit Marketing & Media Committee, Family Leader for UNAVSA-15 and VIA-1, and a member of UNAVSA’s CPP Campaign Committee. As part of the CPP Engagement Team this year, she looks forward to continue working with UNAVSA to educate constituents about past beneficiaries and UNAVSA’s impact on them. Furthermore, she hopes to help encourage others to increase their involvement within the Vietnamese community and become more knowledgeable about their cultural heritage and learn the importance of preserving it. Aside from VSA, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, drinking boba, naps, and traveling while continuing to develop her leadership skills.
