Elected Positions

Exectuive Board
President

The President is a representative of the entire organization with duties of ensuring the effective action of the Executive Board in governing and supporting the organization, and oversees Executive Board affairs and actions. He or she will also see if board matters are handled properly, including the organization’s external reputation, functionality of committees, and recruitment and orientation of new Board of Advisor members. The president will also chair the Strategic Planning Committee.

Internal Vice President
The Internal Vice President assists the President on specified duties. He or she will also manage all inter-organizational issues and operations, such as roles and responsibilities of Executive Board members and the Council of Regional Representatives. The Internal Vice President will also provide guidance, support, and resources to Council of Regional Representatives in their duties of regional development. This position will also chair the Collective Philanthropy Project Committee.

External Vice President
The External Vice President acts as the official liaison of the organization to the community. The External Vice President assists the President in developing external relationships with developing regions and non-profit, non-governmental and other relevant organizations. He or she will also oversee community service projects. With this position, the External Vice President will also chair the Policy committee.

Treasurer
The Treasurer will manage the Board’s review of and action relating to its financial responsibilities, including properly, maintaining uNAVSA’s 501(c)(3) status, seek and apply for fund-raising and sponsorship opportunities, processing all financial transactions and to maintain accurate records of transactions. He or she will also serve as the Finance Director for the annual conference and the financial liaison for other major initiatives.

Secretary
The Secretary will be official custodian of the records and seal of the organization. He or she will file any certificates required by any statute, federal or state, give or serve all notices to members of this organization, and facilitate internal and external communication. With this position, the Secretary will chair the Public Relations Committee.


Council of Regional Representatives

The Council of Regional Representatives (CoRR) is made up of one, no more than two, representative(s) from each of the 14 respected regions that are a part of UNAVSA.  Representatives are responsible for their region’s development and acts as the liaison between the region and uNAVSA. Representatives help promote and execute UNAVSA’s vision, including CPP, the annual conference and other project initiatives. The group assesses and monitors the needs of the schools and youth organizations within each region. Representatives are also voted by peers within their region.
