Dear uNAVSA family,

The Executive Board and the Council of Regional Representatives have collectively decided to endorse APIAVote’s attached letter responding to Texas Rep. Betty Brown’s comments.  Together, we are highlighting the challenges that Asian Americans continue to face in this country, with the hope and goal of overcoming those challenges as a unified community.   Rep. Brown’s comments struck at the heart of the marginalization of Asian Americans and I am proud to see our community come together to fight for our right to democratic representation.

We will continue to raise awareness and educate.  The endorsement of this letter is the declaration of action, not the culmination of disillusionment.
